Who is responsible for your information

This notice covers the Kalipay website, enquiries and reservations. Absolute Siargao Enterprises Inc., trading as Kalipay Resort, is responsible for the personal information it uses for those purposes. Our address is Tourism Road, Barangay Catangnan, General Luna, Siargao Island, Surigao del Norte 8419, Philippines.

Information connected with your enquiry or reservation

Depending on your interaction with us, your records may include your name, contact details, country of residence, stay dates, room selection, number of adults and children, charges, payments, booking reference, correspondence, preferences and requests. We receive information you provide directly and information supplied through the booking platform or person arranging your stay.

We use this information to respond to you, arrange and manage your reservation, provide the services you request, communicate about your stay, handle billing or refunds, and deal with complaints or disputes. We also use reservation information for business reporting and planning.

Information needed to arrange your stay is processed to take the steps you request or perform our booking agreement. Financial and other records may also be processed to meet legal obligations. Necessary administration, security and claims handling may rely on legitimate interests, subject to your rights. Where consent is needed, it must be specific to the relevant use. A booking is not, by itself, consent to unrelated marketing.

Please avoid including unnecessary health information, identity documents or payment-card details in an ordinary email or WhatsApp message. If particular information is needed for a request, please ask our team how to provide it.

Booking, payment and communication services

Our direct booking service uses Cloudbeds. The dates and guest numbers you enter into the website booking search are passed to the booking engine when you search. Booking and payment services process information needed to complete and manage your transaction. Payment instructions may direct you to Tab or another payment method identified to you at the time.

Cloudbeds, payment providers, your booking platform and the communication service you choose also have their own privacy information. Some service providers process information outside the Philippines. Cloudbeds explains its handling of information in its privacy policy.

Staff handling reservations and guest services need access to the relevant information. Information may also be provided to service providers involved in your requested arrangements, professional advisers or authorities where necessary for that purpose or required by law. Staff are required to keep work-related confidential information confidential.

Website features

Our WordPress website uses hosting services to deliver its pages. Your browser sends technical information, such as an IP address, requested page and browser details, to the servers providing the website. Hosting and security services may record requests or errors to operate and protect the site.

The website uses Google advertising and measurement technology, including the Google tag and Google Ads, to measure visits and advertising results. These services can use cookies or similar identifiers and send information about your browser and activity to Google. The website also includes Google maps that load automatically; loading a map connects your browser to Google and can share technical information, even if you do not make a booking.

Google’s privacy information explains how Google processes this information. You can manage cookies in your browser and advertising preferences through Google My Ad Center. Browser controls may affect how some website or booking features work. An email or WhatsApp link opens the corresponding service when you choose to contact us.

How long records are kept

Our current practice is to retain guest and reservation records without a fixed deletion date. We have not yet implemented a scheduled deletion programme for those records. You can contact our privacy address to request access, correction or deletion; a request will be considered in light of applicable rights and any records that must be retained for legal or other justified purposes.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may ask to access or correct your personal information, object to a use, withdraw consent, request deletion or blocking, or obtain a portable copy where that right applies. These rights have legal limits; withdrawal of consent does not undo lawful processing already completed.

Contact reservations@kalipaysiargao.com with enough information to identify your enquiry or reservation. We may need to verify your identity before releasing or changing a record. Do not send a full identity document until we have explained what is needed and how to provide it. You can also raise a concern with the Philippine National Privacy Commission.

Changes to this notice

The date above identifies this version. We will update the notice when relevant practices change. If a new use requires your consent, an update to this notice alone does not provide that consent.
